What are the best fan theories for Loki episode three? We’ll see where they end up next, but a new featurette released by Disney Plus after last week’s episode hints that the time-travelling pair are caught by the TVA. The episode ends with Loki and Sylvie apparently stuck in 2077 with no TemPad and the whole moon about to be wiped out by the falling planet. They reach the ark, but not before it gets destroyed by a meteor. However, their plan is foiled when Loki gets drunk and causes a scene, causing the guards to throw him off the train, breaking the TemPad in the process.Īs they continue their journey on foot, Sylvie reveals that the TVA workers are all variants, rather than agents created by the Time-Keepers as Mobius (Wilson) previously claimed. The pair use the time to get to know each other, talking about their respective upbringings, with Loki also revealing he is bisexual. What ensues is a journey across the moon, which sees them take a train bound for the ark, an evacuation spaceship, in order to steal its power to escape. They are unable to escape due to the TemPad running out of battery, so set about trying to find a power source to charge it. Loki uses a TemPad to teleport himself and Sylvie away, but they end up in 2077 on Lamentis-1, a moon about to be crushed by a planet. Sylvie and Loki reach the TVA from 2050 Alabama, but are met by Ravonna Renslayer (Gugu Mbatha-Raw), who attempts to attack them. It turns out that Sylvie’s bombing of the Sacred Timeline was a distraction, set up so that she could sneak into the TVA and visit the Time-Keepers. She conjures up an illusion of the two drinking margaritas together in order to collect information about the location of the Time-Keepers and how to get to them. The third episode, titled “Lamentis,” opens up with the Loki Variant (who we now know is called Sylvie) enchanting Hunter C-20, who she took hostage last episode. Lady Loki reveals that she taught herself magic, something which impresses Loki beyond words.Starring Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson and Sophia Di Martino, Loki is Disney Plus’ latest hit series, and the first solo outing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) for the Asgardian God of Mischief.Īfter spending most of the first two episodes in the Time Variance Authority (TVA), the third episode marked a change of scenery, with most of the action taking place on Lamentis-1, a moon on the brink of destruction.Īs for what’s next, Hiddleston previously hinted in an interview with BBC Radio’s Ali Plumb that Loki’s next episode will take the series in a whole new direction, and that viewers should “buckle up” for what comes next.Īhead of the fourth episode, here’s a recap of episode three and a rundown of all the best Loki theories and predictions for the second half of the series. “She was the kind of person you’d want to believe in you,” he says. Loki continues to be nostalgic, and remembers the magic his mother used to teach him as a child. Lady Loki answers, “No, I knew.” She barely remembers her mother and says it’s “just a blip of a dream”. Lady Loki mocks, “Are you sure that she was your mother?” Loki smiles wistfully and admits that he was adopted. It’s an emotional moment as he recalls his mother being “good, and purely decent”. During the course of the conversation, Loki brings up his mother, Frigga. Both of them get on the train and bond over champagne, despite the occasional riffs. Lady Loki has a plan which is rejected by Loki, who decides to disguise himself. The two Lokis head there and see absolute misery and chaos, with people crowding the train. There is an evacuation vessel on its way out, which Lady Loki is sure will have enough juice to power the tempad.
